Get a move on.
My little Hugo reign is 9 weeks today he’s figured out how to blow bubbles, smile sometimes adding a little giggle and found his right hand. From reading different sites and books his development is on track.
Business wise I have no development. I am at a complete halt. Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!! It’s frustrating. I just can’t seem to find the time. I just want to play and look after Hugo. When I eventually get Hugo down to nap, I start to look at what I need to do and before I can make any progression Mr curious, to scared he’s going to miss out Hugo wakes up. it all starts again. feed, burp, change, play.
Business wise I am at the stage where I need to make up a batch of the products I want to promote and sell and send them of to be assessed. Once this is done I can really move forward. I’ve shopped around different suppliers looking for the best ingredients and the best price, obviously the best price means buying bulk. Buying bulk is going to cost me more initially but will be cost effect once I can sell products.
What if once I have a website get my business and products out there no one is interested. This is my worrying dilemma I’ll be stuck with bulk buy of natural ingredients that have a shelf life, plus the cost of having to get my products assessed, isn’t cheap. I need to stop procrastinating. All start up businesses have to spend money to make money I know this, but at the back of my head Im always thinking I have Hugo now, maternity is not much at all to live of and pay for my business start up. Can you see why I’m at a halt?
just get your ass into gear Corri.
On the plus side my protective balm, I’ve been using it on Hugos bottom and it’s worked a treat.
I use cotton wool and warm water to clean Hugo bum bum, no sign of rash or redness. I attended the NEC baby show back in May and bought some cheeky wipes.

The tea tree and lemon essential oil blend I started adding a couple drops to my warm water when cleaning Hugo for natural added cleaning.
Tea tree is naturally disinfectant.
Uses of Tea Tree Oil. Tea tree oil has been long valued for its antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral properties. In the 1920s, it was used in dentistry and surgery to clean wounds and prevent infections. Surgeons believed that it is more effective than carbolic acid, the commonly used antiseptic at that time.
And no rash or redness continued. My partners folks bought us a box of wet wipes (a well known brand) I wasn’t interested in using these on Hugo. Natural is my intention, however While out and about it was just convenient to us the wet wipes. I’ve learn all good intentions can go out the window when becoming a mummy. We had had a busy week going and meeting new people, So I continued to use the wet wipes. I noticed they left a wet residue after wiping but thought no more. The week calmed, Hugos bum was red and starting to look sore. Ooo no I’m a bad mum!!! what have I done!!! I showed Lee it’s the wipes I knew it. Out came the protective balm I made ready. I applied it and after two days Hugos bum was back to normal. Disposing of the wet wipes straight away I now apply my balm almost every time I change his nappy use cotton wool when at home with cheeky wipes essential oil blend. Then a mix of cheeky wipes and these new water wipes https://www.waterwipes.com/ when on the go, cause let’s face it convenience is key. Not had a problem with Hugos bottom since, Brilliant.
Before After
It didn’t cross my mind to get a picture so the before picture is after a day of applying my protective balm. you can still see the comparison.
Sore nipples, I’ve wacked out the balm, rubbed it in and I’m at ease. It hasn’t put Hugo of feeding either. Working a treat for me hope it does for others. To add. Where ever I’ve felt a little dryness I’ve added a little balm it’s eased up. 😜👍🏻😀😋
